Moleskine cahier plain brown journals

Moleskine Cahier As much as I love the classic Moleskine hardbound black journals, the newer, cheaper, cahier [kaa yáy] version is even more lovable. The raw brown cover begs to be gocco'd, silkscreened, stamped, and stickered, and the last 16 sheets of each book are detachable. They come in sets of three, and are much more affordable than the hard cover versions. $9.50 on Amazon

I like the look of these far more than the black ones. It should come with a Panama hat.

I adore these. Came across them a years ago, and always keep at least one in my purse at all times. I kept notes in one, during my recent hospital stay, to have my daughter Virginia. The covers hold up well and you cannot beat the price for the value you get. I have been only able to find them sporadically stocked at my local Border's store. I highly recommend them.
I found your site about 2 weeks ago and visit daily. I enjoy your posts greatly! :)

Hey, I went to Amazon to look at the "Moleskine cahier plain brown journals" and they just sell a used one!
I thought it was funny that they are selling a used one, I wonder if it has writing on it?
I like your website, I visit it every week.

I love my cahier. I use it for the day to day writing. Once one is full i pull out all the memorable quotes and design drawings. Crazy DIY projects pop in and out of my head and paper helps me capture the ideas the best. Then I dump all the ideas worth saving into the "big orange" (what I call the larger ruled hard bound moleskine). My cahier is covered in duct tape for that rugged MAKE look!

You forgot the flap in the back! Which means that mine was able to serve as replacement for the sciatica-causing sofa cushion I laughingly called a "wallet."

Also, they make them ruled, and -- my fave -- in black, which has graph paper in it.
